Temptation

We all want to fit in; but the question is, how far would we go to blend in?

You're at a party, all your friends are drinking, trying to block out reality, trying to escape to a world of freedom, where self control takes no part. You never thought about drinking, or let's just say that you're against it. Your friends are telling you to loosen up, to take a sip or two, it won't do any harm. Now, you're really pissed off, but mostly curious. You're curious about it's taste, about the way it would make you feel, the things it would change.

So, you're standing right next to the table; where all the drinks are. Curiosity hits you again, and you finally reach for a drink.  You promised you'd only have a glass. That's one. You feel the alcoholic liquid run down your throat, and you reach for another. That's two. You're unsteady now, your mind's no longer taking part. Your throat aches for another. That's three. You now feel dizzy, and you join your friends at the dance floor.

Now, most people would give up to temptation just like that. Mostly, cause they want to fit in. Some people would go beyond limits to please everyone. Which is totally wrong. You should just be yourself; obviously. If people don't like you, then that's just them. I'm sure you'll find someone else to hang out with. You shouldn't be a conformist. We have enough of them in the world. If you don't think you should drink, then don't; no matter how much you're told that it's the greatest feeling in the world.

Also, one big issue that really is just pressurizing and seems to be eating up A LOT of girls, is that, you don't have to look like a model. You really don't. You don't have to starve yourself all day just to lose weight. Nothing's wrong with being average, just try to process that. Now, I'm not saying you should be obese. Obesity is sickness.

All I'm saying here is that, just be yourself. Wouldn't you rather hang around people you can really relate to rather than have to fake everything all the time? It's okay to stand out, it makes you unique, and we need people like that.
